 The Da Lat Flower Festival 2007, entitled “Dat Lat flower – I love you”, will be held from December 15 to 22, 2007 in Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province. This was announced in a press conference by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism on October 1, in Hanoi.
The Da Lat flower festival 2007 will include 18 cultural and art programs such as international flower fair, a flower wedding with 114 couples, street festivities with the theme “flower and moon”, a wine night festival, Vietnamese-Japanese friendship marathon race, and old vespa scooter festival days.
Aimed at advertising investment opportunities, tourism-services, trade, and economic exchanges at home and overseas, Da Lat flower festival 2007 will create an opportunity for provinces and cities, domestic and foreign businesses to promote investment and business cooperation. In particular, “Miss Vietnamese ethnic groups contest” will be held during the festival. The contest aims to introduce the diversified Vietnamese ethnic groups as well as to advertise Lam Dong’s tourism.
Head of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh, said: the “Da Lat flower festival is a large cultural event for Lam Dong Province. This is also a chance for its localities and businesses to promote investment, develop the domestic market, and to expand exchanges with foreign markets.”
