Flora Fest

Feast your eyes on a splendid display of flowers! The city will be transformed into a veritable paradise of breathtaking,colourful blossom. with its theme 'Colour of Harmony', the event will be a delightful experience for participants and visitors alike. Thaipusam Festival
1 February 2007 Venue: Batu Caves, Selangor
This is a day of penance and thanksgiving by Hindu devotees held in honour of Lord Subramaniam. The festival is best experienced in Kuala Lumpur where the deity's jewelled chariot is led in a mass procession through the streets of the city, culminating at Batu Caves in Selangor. An unforgettable sight is the thousands of devotees in a trance-like state carrying body-piercing kavadis or ornate frames.

Wesak Day

On this day, Buddhists observe the birth, enlightenment and passing of Lord Buddha. Religious offerings and rituals such as 'bathing of the Buddha', chanting of holy scriptures, lighting of joss sticks and ordination of monks usually take place in Buddhist temples. Come nightfall, there will be grand processions in cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Seremban, Melaka and Georgetown.
National Water Festival - Labuan International Sea Challenge

The Labuan International Sea Challenge welcomes participants from around the world to join in an amazing week of:
(i) Rolex IGFA International Game Fishing Tournament
The prestigious deep sea fishing tournament is part of the qualifying circuit of the Rolex/IGFA Offshore Championship. It is the region's most challenging and the only extended long range deep sea fishing tournament.
(ii) Cross Channel Swimming Challenge
The swim spans 5.4km of open sea towards Pulau Papan and back to Labuan. Local and international swimmers view to break fast year's speed records and set new times in the domestic and open categories.
(iii) Labuan International Extreme Kayak Challenge Not one for the faint hearted, this race is one of the longest and toughest in Malaysia.
Comprising of the individual and double categories, the race will be in a double format covering a distance of 84km across the Brunei Bay, starting from Labuan to Sopitang and back.
(iv) Round Island Kayak Challenge
The kayak race designed for the highly skilled enthusiast. The course is 50km long and runs along the perimeter shoreline of Labuan Island.
World Harvest Festival 2007 & Gawai Dayak Sarawak 25 May 2007 Until 2 June 2007 Venue: Sarawak
Dayak communities in Sarawak celebrated Hari Gawai to mark the end of a successful harvesting season. This unique festival is shared with neighbouring rice producing counterpart such as Sabah and Kedah in Malaysia as well as Taiwan, Combodia, Indonesia, India, China, Japan, Thailand, Laos and the Philippines. These countries will feature their respective harvest celebrations at the event.
